As all Popeye fans know, whenever the sailor feels in need of some extra strength, he simply downs a tin of spinach, and instantly sprouts bulging biceps. During the Great Depression, a 33% increase in spinach consumption was widely attributed to the character’s popularity and his famous fondness for the green stuff. Rather endearingly, spinach was also listed as the third favorite food of American children at the time (after turkey and ice cream). Bulging biceps possible, but we do not guarantee. $5 +$2.50 for Shaklee protein (includes important vitamins and priobotics, always gluten free)
Very Very Berry
We take 3 smurfs (grumpy, vanity, and brainy -if you must know) put ’em in a high powered blender, call it the Very, Very Berry and serve it to you fresh and cold daily. Actually we didn’t. But you know, we thought about it, but we love those little smurfs, always so happy! Instead we used a mixture of berries, loaded with blue ones, added some sweet tasting fruits to make it positively Smurftastic and then we called it the very, very, berry. $5. + $2.50 Shaklee protein (includes important vitamins and priobotics, always gluten free)
As I was watching the ground to be sure to steer clear of sharp rocks, Carlos motioned to me to look up. Through the palm style branches, I could see a ripened fruit. He looked at me and smiled in a knowingly, almost mocking way. Although I didn’t understand his language, nor do he mine, I did anticipate what was to happen next. He began to crawl up that tree, as if he had done it daily since birth, and got one of those ripened fruits for him and I. As the humidity crept into my every pore, the only thing that relieved my temperature… was Carlos and that delicious ripened fruit. $5 + $2.5o for Shaklee protein (includes important vitamins and priobotics, always gluten free)

Avocado Grilled Cheese
Back on the farm, Grandpa liked grilled cheese. I remember fondly grandma making a simple grilled cheese for grandpa. Always with white bread, American cheese, & a glass of cold milk. He savored the love in each sandwich: always cut at an angle, always with milk. Grandpa hated change, hated complexity. He loathed: the internet, cell phones, & the designated hitter. He would of scoffed at: a Grilled cheese with fresh avocado, heirloom tomato, smoked gouda, local mozzarella, a dusting of sun dried tomatoes , arugula, and bacon, between multi-grained bread. Don’t worry Grandpa, these are made to order, all ingredients are optional. If you ask we will even cut it at an angle, just like Grandma… $7 +Bacon $1.00, includes kettle chips
My mom always told me, “Never trust a man that doesn’t like a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich.” What did I know, I was young. I knew a guy that didn’t like them, it didn’t bother me at the time. He’s now serving a life sentence for treason and fraud. We named it after him, we just called him: Savage. Ours has multigrain bread, bacon tossed in siracha bourbon sauce (yep we made bacon somehow better), arugula, fresh tomato, and drizzled with garlic aioli… $7.50 includes kettle chips.
The Little Italy Chicken Sandwich
There is perhaps a place in Siena that serves this sandwich. It’s called “Frankies” and is just off the beaten path. The locals have flocked to it since it opened after World War II. They have always served this sandwich. Frankie’s grandson now makes this sandwich for his friends and family that frequent the place. Enrobed bread, sundried tomatoes, pulled chicken, marinated yellow and red tomatoes…and a bit of the greens. $9 includes chips as do all the sandwiches.
The Big Montana*
My eyes were entranced by the glowing embers that danced to the rhythm of the night. Then I saw him across from me. His worn cowboy hat, plaid dusty sleeved rolled shirt. The darkened skin showing the heat of the sun long after the sun has went down. And that beard. That rugged beard, I will never forget. And then he almost startled me, “Ya’ hungry?” “A bit,” I managed to whimper. (I was indeed famished.) He continued, “Ya’ ever have a marcaroni and pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast?” And that’s when the love affair began… $9 includes kettle chips. * We use local farmers to get our pork, from Loehr’s meat, just a few blocks away. Our sauce is the “soon to be” world famous Uncle Louie’s BBQ sauce made in Mayville, Wisconsin.
Classic Cold Turkey
Your mantra is the Tim McGraw Song, “Live like you were dying.” You eat fear for breakfast. You’ve done the Tough Mudder. Backwards. Naked. You won the game “Risk”, multiple times. You’ve had dinner with Tony Robbins (well you do follow him on instagram.) Today my friend, You stand at the face of that cliff… ready to jump off… but as if an angel warns you…at the last second… you turn around on the edge of that cliff … you grab your friend… as you say… “Not today, not today..cold turkey sandwich please.” Not today, life. Not today. It’s ok, there will be other cliff jumps, but today, you want to live a bit more conservatively on our menu, that’s fine don’t be ashamed. There is no shame in safety. We applaud you. Why be bold, when you can be safe? No harm in that. Sheep tend to live long lives. You’ve now gone cold turkey, minus the rubber band wrapped around your wrist. There’s no going back… $6.50 includes kettle chips.

Just one example of our many incredible soups.. this one we make in house:
Aunt Betty’s “Famous” Wisconsin Cheese Soup – What makes a soup famous? How about if it was served darn near daily at an extremely popular restaurant for decades, where people when traveling would go miles out of there way to order some? Perhaps. What about if it was made by hand daily? Closer. And if people still remember, can still taste, the very mention of this soup makes them salivate just a bit..years… after the last time it was made? I’m listening. And if the only person that ever made the soup was your Aunt Betty, and only she knows the recipe, and that in her very own kitchen she gave you the recipe verbally since the recipe has never been written down, only after we swore to never tell a soul? Yeah, that’s some famous soup.
Cup $3.75. Bowl $4.50. In a Bread Bowl $1.50.
Bed of mixed greens with pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries, topped root vegetables, and just the right mix of feta cheese and apple vinaigrette on the side. $8.50 (We see many people add our pulled chicken to this for just a bit more.)
Mixed greens tossed with local fresh bacon, cherry tomatoes, diced tomatoes, chopped hard boiled egg, seasoned croutons and homemade ranch dressing. $7
ROASTED BEET & GOAT CHEESE
Spinach, sliced roasted beets, cream LACLARE FARMS goat cheese with candied walnuts & a honey champagne vinaigrette. $8.50
German immigrant farmers. You can’t go anywhere in the area without feeling their presence. In 1876 Stuart Campbell, a German immigrant founded Campbellsport which later merged with New Cassel (yes this little village was once two microvillages.) To pay homage to Mr. Campbell, and our area’s German heritage we took a Mexican staple and infused a German influence. That’s #Merica. And just because it is called a breakfast burrito you can have it anytime the kitchen is open. It’s made with from the meat of local farmers (not the actual farmer, that is called cannibalism and is quite illegal, but the meat they produce on the farm) and made into a ring bologna at Loehr’s meat here on Main Street. With that we added rosemary potatoes, scrambled eggs & cheese wrapped in a 12″ flour tortilla. $4.75
We also have a damn tasty VEGETARIAN BURRITO. Spinach, avocado, diced onions, seasoned potatoes, picante sauce, an egg omelet and cheese all rolled in a tortilla. $7
Options. We give them to you. Not to overwhelm, but to help. “May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.” – Nelson Mandela. Panini or a fresh croissant? Sure. Protein? Bacon, sausage, or Canadian bacon? Sure. Add Diced tomatoes, scrambled eggs, cheese, spinach, avocado… $4.75
